Durango

Cross Bar X is a Christian non-profit that ministers to foster kids and at-risk teens through a summer camp in Durango, Colorado. Students will serve in a variety of ways as they work alongside CBX staff in running the camp program. Counseling, leading activities, serving in the kitchen and behind the scenes, leading worship, planning Bible studies, and facilitating recreation (high ropes, zip line, lake front) are just some of the ways you will be serving.
We are very flexible with the dates for this trip. So, if you can only make it for two weeks, then we'll work with you!
There is no cost for this mission trip. CCU requires a $50 deposit to hold your spot, but this will be refunded to you after the trip. Additionally, Cross Bar X has supporters who have offered to provide CCU trip participants one of two options: 1) A $250 travel stipend OR 2) A dollar for dollar match of any funds that are raised up to $1000. This will yield you up to $2000 to cover personal expenses you will have this summer and coming school year.
