Hi friends!
Today looked a little different because the team went exploring outside of Sarteneja! We went to Corozal where we saw thousand year old Mayan ruins that were so cool. We saw big iguanas and fluffy baby vultures that were so cute! Then we went and had a delicious lunch at a restaurant on the water and the portions were so big we couldn’t finish all the food! It was a beautiful place to hang out with swinging chairs and so many colors. After this we went and got coffee at a local shop that was welcoming and aesthetic and we had so much fun goofing around and drinking our fancy flavors of coffee. Our stomachs and hearts were so full after this and we couldn’t Belize it was already late afternoon. Then we went to the pier and watched the beautiful sunset that made us all so giddy and in awe of God’s creation. We had our devotion about joy and how it is not just a feeling, but that we always have the joy of the Lord in us, even when we are not feeling particularly happy. After this we went to dinner and back to the hotel where we connected as a team through worship and touching conversations that brought us all together. We ended the night with some chaotic dutch blitz and bittersweet excitement for our last full day in Sarteneja tomorrow!
