Hello yall! I have the utmost pleasure to be able to write about Day 4! Today was a blast and a very unique day due to us beginning our first day of VBS for our home site that CCU sponsors and helps out with! This is also the site that holds majority of our students sponsor kiddos.
The first day of VBS began with the kids taking part in a sing along and lesson to get their energy out (or so we thought). We then moved onto a craft that allowed them the opportunity to paint and to get to chat with us as we all shared a good time! We then taught them a dance that we were shown at on our day 3 visit at another site! We could tell they loved it just as much as we enjoyed teaching it. Haha.
One of the special aspects of today was that we got to continue our home visit experiences. It was a joy but also difficult because some of the students were able to visit the homes of the kids that they are currently sponsoring. Seeing the harsh conditions hurts but at the same time they continue to show hope and trust in God that he will provide for them in all of their needs.
Lastly we had a bunch of good foods today such as pupusas which is a popular and cultural dish in Honduras.
Thank you so much one again for all of the support and continuing to follow along with us as we share our experiences!
