What a day!
Today we did a variety of activities at the high school, elementary, and at the church and it was all so fun! We started with the high school and did a funny but meaningful skit for them about how giving their lives to Jesus is the best option for their lives. We had two of our team members share their testimony and they did an amazing job and connected well with certain students. Then we got to work putting a fresh coat of paint on their bathroom and started a mural to bring color to their school. The students had a lot of fun helping us brighten up their building, and getting out of schoolwork. During this time we had life changing conversations and amazing memories were made through laughter and smiles. After this we went home for lunch and a quick break before our elementary visit. At the elementary we helped clean up their school by picking up leaves from the ground and making their property neat again. We also connected with the students in various ways including hide and seek, uno card games, hair braiding and conversations. During this we invited them all to our VBS and they were so excited to see us later that day. At our Vacation Bible School we had rotations for the kids of different age groups including a Bible story, craft and games. The kids had various opportunities to have fun with their friends and bring home a memory from their time with us. Then our team went to the pier to worship and have a devotional on the peace of the Lord. We took a break to have dinner then continued our conversation in the church where good insights were shared and spontaneous singing brought us joy. We finished the night off with another ice cream run, thanks to Pastor for having them open the shop for us, and we returned to the hotel with tired bodies and full hearts. We are so blessed and grateful for how the Lord is working in our hearts and letting us bless and be blessed by the people here in Sarteneja.

WHEN I HAVE WATCHED MY CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN GO ON MISSION TRIPS OVER THE YEARS, I HAVE BEEN SO PROUD OF THEM.
THEY HAVE BEEN ABLE TO BE A BLESSING TO THOSE THAT THEY CONNECTED WITH, BUT THE BIGGEST BLESSING CAME TO THEM.
THEY LEARNED ABOUT OTHER CULTURES AND OTHER PEOPLE'S NEEDS. THEY LEARNED THAT GIVING WAS SO IMPORTANT, NOT ONLY
FOR OTHERS, BUT FOR THEMSELVES. I AM PRAYING EVERY DAY FOR YOUR TEAM AND THE PEOPLE YOU ARE INVOLVING YOURSELVES WITH.
